Latest Technology
At Nest Chartered Surveyors we have invested in the latest surveying technology so we can provide you with the best possible service
We use the Flir E8 thermal imaging camera on all our RICS Building surveys and include the images captured in the reports. The use of thermal imaging helps us identify otherwise unseen defects such as missing or defective insulation, excess heat-loss, damp and condensation issues as well as leaks to central heating and underfloor heating systems.
The Protimeter MMS2 helps us measure the amount of moisture present in the property with both surface pin-probes and non-invasive ‘search’ modes. The built-in hygrometer assists in measuring buildings for adequate ventilation affecting indoor air quality and causing condensation problems.
We utilise telescopic poles to operate our wireless camera systems. This allows us to view otherwise inaccessible areas of roofs, valley gutters, parapet walls and chimney stacks so we can accurately report upon their condition.
Our Bosch digital borescope allows us to insert a small camera in to hard to reach areas such as underneath floorboards and inside cavities. Pictures can be captured on the handset and included in our reports to highlight defects, where necessary.
Personal Touch
The surveyor will contact you after the survey has been carried out to give you a quick run-through of their findings and flag up any major issues, ahead of receiving the full report. Should you have any questions following receipt of the full survey, the surveyor will be available to go through anything with you – all as part of the service.
